We stayed for 6 nights in late April. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. The room was perfect for our stay. It's not a huge room, but it provided us with everything we needed comfortably. The king sized bed was a nice treat and it was very comfy! Some reviews mentioned that it was noisy, but we didn't have any issues with that. The room wasn't soundproof (sometimes you might hear someone in the hall waiting for the elevator, no different than our apartment at home), but the other guests seemed to be respectful so we didn't have any issues. One thing to note, some items that are listed as being included with your room might not be in the room when you arrive, but a quick visit to the front desk will get you sorted out. There wasn't a hairdryer in our room, but I just had to go downstairs to ask for one. It's also really nice because everything is new! The shower is really nice and the water pressure is wonderful. The subway is fairly close and can get you where you need to go easily. At first we were using the 9th Ave Station, but we started using the 36th Street Station which was a nicer walk and we were able to stop for breakfast and late night eats enroute. That was really nice since the last time I stayed in New York there was no food around the hotel. TIP: If you like tacos, do yourself a favour and make sure to check out El Taco Bronco (860 5th Ave) close to the hotel. The prices are great and the food is AWESOME!!! We wanted to go every night when we were coming back from our excursions, but sadly were too full on some nights. We managed to visit twice (not enough) haha. Cash only! Also, Sunset Park is nice to check out if you are looking for a spot to enjoy a coffee in the morning. It has a great view of the city :)

We got upgraded right away to two bed room instead of king size, which was great as we were two friends visiting together. We got a "basement" room with concrete wall view, but it was fine since we used the rooms only for showering and sleeping, as we were otherwise walking around Manhattan. The room was clean, had daily housekeeping, beds were good. We were allowed to leave our bags for a few hours, and use the restroom after check out. The part of Brooklyn was safe, clean, 10 min from either of 2 nearby metro stations. It did smell a lot of weed on the neighborhood, bit that's just the NY experience:)

Everything about the hotel is excellent. The rooms are huge and super clean. The view from the fifth floor is phenomenal. The bed was huge too and very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and everything looked new. The price was ridiculously low for what the hotel offered. The staff is super nice and friendly. They kept our stuff safe for a day at no extra cost. The housekeepers were the best. They made nice shapes with the towels and didn't touch any personal stuff. I'm really amazed that this hotel isn't at least 4 stars. It's one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. 10/10.

I like this hotel. I come here from time to time. Usually got some decently priced rooms, and taking the train- getting off at 36th, nice location, lots of food options as you walk a little bit to get here (Chinese food, Spanish food, McDonalds, Domino's, convenience stores). Has TV, no cable but it has YouTube, and if you have accounts, you can also Netflix and Hulu. The wall mounted heater/AC unit DOES NOT smell like burning heated elements like a lot do in other places; I like that the room can get nice and warm without that smell. Nice and comfy overall.

We enjoyed our stay at King Hotel. The hotel is conveniently located in walking distance between two subway stations with good connection to Manhattan and throughout Brooklyn. The staff was friendly, the room was clean with housekeeping and fresh towels provided each day. Our room had a very comfortable bed, a tv, a fridge, and a microwave, we also had great distant view of Manhattan skyline from our window. While the neighborhood is a bit industrial it feels rather safe and it offers a range of stores and great eating places.
